Appleton East draws even with Southwest in Final Seconds

Green Bay Southwest’s girls soccer team held a 1-0 lead on Appleton East until a late goal and overtime stalemate concluded in a 1-1 draw on Monday.

Amber Nolle scored off a Montana Thomas assist in the 52nd minute for the Trojans, but East tied the game with a Tricia Dailey goal off a corner kick with only 16 seconds to go in regulation.

Tony Champion made seven saves for Southwest, while East’s Mio Vogt made eight saves. Southwest moved to 1-0-2 on the season.
